Venom: The Last Dance might be exactly that for this version of the character—but, surely, Venom will live on. The film’s ending and end-credits scenes hint at where things might go in the future and, with the film now in theaters, it’s time to talk all about it. Major spoilers are below.
In the film’s big finale, Venom detaches himself from Eddie and dies, along with all the evil xenophages sent by Knull to secure the codex the pair are holding. With one of them (in this case Venom) dying, the codex once again goes away and keeps Knull in his unbreakable symbiote prison. Eddie then goes to New York, as per their plan, and that’s that, gizmodo.com.
Or is it? We very clearly see that Juno Temple’s character Dr. Teddy Payne survives and she still has a symbiote in her. The movie kind of explains the reason Venom and Eddie hold the codex is because Venom used his powers to bring Eddie back to life, which was the key to unlocking this special codex. So, with a human and symbiote still together, there’s the potential of a resurrection, and thereby a codex still exists. That gives hope to Knull, leading into that first end-credit scene.
The first end-credit scene shows Knull still in prison, promising to get out and that the “world will burn.” He then looks up, revealing his scary and menacing face. Basically, the scene says even though Venom: The Last Dance introduced this supervillain without really using him, he’s still on the table and maybe we’ll see him again in the future.
That’s then followed by the film’s second end-credit scene, which shows Cristo Fernández’s bartender character escaping Area 55 after the battle. Earlier in the movie, this universe’s version of the character was taken into custody but that story never wraps up. Here it does, but not before we also see a piece of symbiote potentially going into a cockroach. Is that how Venom will survive? Seems like a possibility.
Basically, The Last Dance feels like the last dance for Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock but in the infinite Marvel multiverse, there are still symbiotes, still humans linked to symbiotes, and still an evil being that can control or destroy any of it.
Personally, I didn’t find the above teases that compelling. The best part of Venom: The Last Dance‘s ending is the “Memories” by Maroon 5 montage showing Eddie reminiscing about all the good times with Venom. It’s a surprising, touching, and satisfying conclusion for this version of the character, one that is unlikely to be topped moving forward, even with all the loose ends.
What do you think about the ending and end credits of Venom: The Last Dance? Let us know below.
So can anyone fully explain what's happening with the Ted Lasso/Cristo Fernandez bartender character in this movie? That character appeared at the end of Spider-Man No Way Home, where he and Eddie are at a bar and are explicitly speaking about the Avengers and the MCU:
ВідповістиВидалитиYeah, it's easy to explain. This is the multiverse and there are two versions of Cristo, and each one owns a bar. There's MCU Cristo and there's Venomverse Cristo.

ВидалитиThe scene at the end of No Way Home is replayed at the beginning of The Last Dance, complete with the same dialogue you just posted. This scene takes place in the MCU. And in both scenes, Eddie is thrown back across the multiverse to his own dimension, the Venomverse (for lack of a better term).
So he starts out in Cristo's bar in the MCU and then return to the Venomverse, also appearing in the Venomverse version of Cristo's bar.
Technically speaking, there does still exist a piece of Venom symbiote left behind in the MCU.
They just announced an last or atleast sequel to spider-man with tom holland
ВидалитиI don't know what they're smoking, but I want some. You need premium shit to make that Madam Web script seem like a good idea.
ВидалитиEvery mid/post-credits scene in this isn't a promise, but a threat.
ВідповістиВидалитиPlease let all of these Spidey-adjacent, Spidey-less, spin-offs die the same miserable deaths Morbius and Madame Web did...it's all they deserve.
This movie is not good in any way... And I am a big fan of both Spiderman and Venom. I'm not sure why they are continuing down this path other than a cash grab on a Spiderman IP everyone wants to be good, but simply isn't.
ВідповістиВидалитиYou answered you question. Pretty sure they have to produce stuff to hold the license, so they're going to continue you to do so to stick it to marvel as long as they can.
ВидалитиThey started well with the original spiderman the sony forced themselves into the process and we got SM3 which killed it. Repeat was the the amazing spiderman, but it was done in 2. Sony is doing this villain thing because they feel they're owed a 'universe'. Look at the female ghostbusters...it wasn't setup to be a movie, it was a movie, game, cartoon, tv series, etc., all before it even finished shooting - let alone was released. They feel owed a universe and this is close as they're going to get because they don't really have anything to support it nor a clue how to actually do it.
