Winter is officially here, and many are saying goodbye to the beautiful oranges, reds, and yellows of fall and embracing the cool tones of snow and ice. But despite the cool temperatures that require us to stock up on hot chocolate and several pairs of mittens, a Husky and her mom make a compelling argument that winter is the prettiest season, yahoo.com.

On December 5, 2024, Hannah Keiver (@hannahkeiver) shared a stunning video of an amazing adventure with beautiful scenery. Her Husky looked like she was walking on water, and it will have you booking your next vacation up north. Take a look!

Hannah and her beautiful Husky, Oesa, look like they're having the best adventure while exploring the Canadian Rockies.

The two are in Banff National Park, where they visited one of the iconic, stunning, clear, frozen lakes.

It's hard to believe the view is real, but it very much is. They appear to be walking across Peyto Lake, which is frozen, but it's clear instead of the ice being a milky white color. That's why it looks like Oesa is walking on water because you can see all the rocks at the bottom of the lake.

She glides across the ice, and the video's background and clear ice are enchanting and give the illusion that she's walking on water. It's a magical look, and the commenters comment on how beautiful this clip is.

One person wrote, "Living the dream," another added, "So cool! Such a lucky doggo." Oesa's mom shared in the comments that the rescue Husky was having a really good day and that she enjoyed her walk across the ice.

Huskies Are Playful and Need a Lot of Exercise Each Day

Osea was having fun on her walk across the lake. Scrolling through the other videos and images, she's often outside going on adventures and exploring the Rockies with her mom.

Huskies are the perfect breed for people who love to be on the go and outdoors and want to have a friendly companion who goes all in on the fun. According to PetPlan, Huskies are happiest when they have something to pour all their energy into.

"Their need for lots of active exercise (at least 2 hours each day), mental stimulation, and attention means they’re best suited to dog owners with active lifestyles and plenty of time," the site explained.

Huskies are very playful and curious and strongly bond with their person. "Huskies crave company and love nothing more than spending as much time as possible with their owners," PetPlan explains. "They have a great sense of humor that comes with their playful side too."

If you love colder climates, Huskies are a good breed to consider since they're built for the cold, the American Kennel Club notes. "Siberian Husky, a thickly coated, compact sled dog of medium size and great endurance, was developed to work in packs, pulling light loads at moderate speeds over vast frozen expanses," the club shares.

And given how at ease and calm Osea is in the video, we think she's having the best time of her life, exactly where she belongs.
